MAGAZINE: 50 Cent Covers 5 XXL Covers; "I Have To Make The Music Biggie Offered"

50 Cent must have that album coming up soon. XXL closes the year off with it's December/January issue featuring 50 Cent - and there are FIVE different special covers for the magazine, featuring the 5 Face of 50 Cent. According to XXL: 2012 marks 10 years since Fif took over the mixtape game with the release of 50 Cent is the Future. Over the past decade the superstar rapper has expanded his brand further than the average hip-hop artist and the different covers honor the five hats 50 juggles: The rapper, the actor, the businessman, the philanthropist and the bad guy, the latter cover which he shares with good friend and current Welterweight Boxing Champion Floyd Mayweather. 50 Cent also analyzes the current music climate that we're in, in this latest issue:

“I don’t see what I fell in love with,” he says. “So now I gotta make music that reflects what N.W.A made. I have to make music that has the moments that Nas had. I have to make music that has what Biggie offered.” He also discusses his currently untitled 5th solo album: “For me, I’m still up against what I’ve done,” he says. “So in order to top it, I know it’s a difficult task. You know, I see the bloggers. My audience hasn’t grown with me. They keep saying, “Aw, man, I want the old 50!” ’Cause those people, it would take them on a safari. I was bringing them close enough to the animals, without being able to get hurt. I was taking them into my neighborhood, where you can very well get your ass killed.”

ALBUM NEWS: Rick Ross Confirms 'God Forgives, I Don't' Pushback

Rick Ross now confirms to MTV that his upcoming album, God Forgives I Don't - may be, or more likely will be, pushed back from it's December 13th date. The pushback, according to Ross, is attributed to his health situation - which prevented him from performing, and promoting, and "laying the ground work" for the album's release. His latest singles "You The Boss" featuring Nicki Minaj and "I Love My Bitches" has yet to make any major strides on the Hot 100 as well. This will possibly be a good idea to start fresh, lay out a new single and possibly release it in January. If he's able to sustain his sales and promote the album smoothly for the rest of the year, instead of the quick pace MMG usually does it - he could have one of the highest selling rap albums of the year. Maybe. Watch the interview with MTV RapFix Live below... (more...)
