Brandy’s done a good job at keeping her records under wraps, because we all know before and after the release of her 2008 album Human – songs were being leaked left and right. This time, Brandy can rest easy as she’s in control of this project and she let’s loose another record from the album in the Bangladesh “Let Me Go.” Bangladesh was the reason behind her Top 3 R&B/Hip-Hop single, “Put It Down” featuring Chris Brown, and if I had to guess – this one was penned by frequent Bangladesh collaborator, Sean Garrett. Hot record, not sure if I can buy this as a Brandy record. Two Eleven drops on October 16th.
Brandy stressed the importance of her album bringing R&B back, but she’s really been doing nothing different that hasn’t been done over the past few years. Rico Love, Bangladesh are all on the album – but I have a feeling it’s those other records penned by Frank Ocean and Chris Brown which will be the clear-cut winners on this album. “Let Me Go” just doesn’t have any sort of a Brandy feel to it, and sounds like something that the label would throw on a fresh up-and-coming talent.
