Music leaking is never a good way to kick off an album, especially before an actual single premieres off the album. Unfortunately, Big Sean – you are the latest victim. As we continue to prepare for his sophomore album, Hall of Fame: Memoirs of a Detroit Player to absolutely astound us this December, we get to preview the album a bit with this new joint “She” produced by frequent collaborator, No I.D. Instead of us being anchored down by his fat wallet, and being drowned in the sea of his ad-libs – Big Sean tells a story about unplanned pregnancy. Listen below..
While the concept is great for the record, and one we’ve visited before like on J. Cole’s “Lost Ones” off Sideline Story – it seems largely unfinished. Common makes a quick appearance on the track to throw some lines in here and there, but it feels like there’s so much more to be built from the track. If this is what we can expect from the album though, I can absolutely dig it.
