Trey Songz is really heightening buzz for his album tenfold. He has dropped digital release after digital release, but this one might be his most star studded to date. With hip hop giants Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne on the bill, he drops the club record “Hail Mary.”
Trey Songz hit with two steps forward with his last two joints, and immediately I feel like he’s taking one major leap back. While this record will definitely translate with the hip hop audience, I feel like it’s not progressive enough if he wants to drop a classic album. Songs like “Say Aah” and “Bottoms Up”, which are his biggest hits are to blame for this honestly. It’s a solid record, but when you talk about Trey Songz’ bread and butter – it’s this heavy hip hop sound he’s running with, like it or not.
