It’s been a long time coming, and while Missy Elliott won’t be a part of Aaliyah’s brand new posthumous album – she’s finally going to drop some of her own new material. Kicking off next month, well – in about two weeks anyway, the iconic Missy Elliott is set to drop two new singles for the world to hear, “Triple Threat” and “9th Inning.”

We were initially promised a dual release with Timbaland’s new Shock Value 3 and Missy Elliott’s Block Party, but it looks like plans for that have been pushed back. Missy Elliott, from her sound to her visuals has always pushed the boundaries of the musical spectrum. She’s had her own share of problems over the past few years, with her last major release being The Cookbook released back in 2005. Are you ready for a Missy Elliott return?
