This has certainly been quite the year of 2 Chainz, and with his sign to Def Jam earlier in the year – he made the smooth transition from simple a feature artist to a commercial success. While we’re on the cusp of releasing his debut solo effort, Based On A T.R.U. Story – not only does his new single, “No Lie” with Drake strike gold, but it comes his first solo #1 as he smacks the top of the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

The song replaces his previous number one hit, which was “Mercy” featuring the rest of his G.O.O.D Music family – which landed at #3 this week, being surpassed by Usher and Rick Ross’ “Lemme See” as well.
