While Frank Ocean didn’t take that top spot this week, he definitely made a dent onto the chart with his Def Jam debut Channel Orange. The singer’s album – which was only expected to sell anywhere between 50K-60K prior to the major announcement, more than doubled that – racking up a cool 131K in an impromptu sales week based heavily on digital sales. This figure surpasses Usher’s first week sales with Lookin 4 Myself and almost matches Chris Brown’s Fortune released, which is quite impressive considering the red carpet of promotion wasn’t totally laid out for Mr. Ocean. Also in the Top 10 are Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Katy Perry, Adele, and more. Head after the jump..
