Frank Ocean delivers his first interview since he recently came out about his sexuality, and oddly enough – there’s not even as much as a reference to it in this interview. Frank Ocean called into BBC 1 Radio to speak to Zane Lowe, and he kept it completely about the music. He reveals that despite the July 17th release date, it was his plan all along to release the album before it actually leaked – mirroring Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne album last year. He also talked about the creative process behind constructing Channel Orange with his in-house producers, his alternative ways of recording, his performance on Jimmy Fallon, and why he’s absolutely so selective about dates. Really great interview, keeping it controversy free and about the music.
