Golden week for quite a few of the music world’s biggest stars. Drake’s Take Care era has been absolutely stellar as his single, “HYFR” featuring Lil Wayne attains gold status this week – which would add it to the certified list along with “Headlines”, “Make Me Proud”, and “Take Care” which have hit platinum and “The Motto” which has hit 2x platinum. However, Drake isn’t the only one this week, Wale, Rihanna, and Katy Perry are having their share of certified success.
Wale’s boss Rick Ross took to Twitter this morning to announce that his album Ambition, has gone gold. The DC native’s album has produced singles such as “Bait”, “Lotus Flower Bomb”, and “Sabotage.”
Katy Perry is getting double success this week as her single, “Part Of Me” is certified for double platinum status and her Teenage Dream album cut, “Peacock” gets a gold plaque – without even being remotely seen as a single.
Rihanna’s latest singles “Talk That Talk”, “Birthday Cake” and “Where Have You Been” have been enjoying their success – all reaching gold status in the past few weeks. Congrats to Rihanna!
