Well, this was surprising. Just a couple days after Alicia Keys sends us a PSA about her new album, she drops off this brand new record “New Day.” The record, which absolutely stinks of husband Swizz Beatz all over the production, is another anthem for Ms. A. “New Day” is a much better first swing at things than “Doesn’t Mean Anything” from her last album. Swizz Beatz has equipped her with a fresh, yet still reminiscent sound of why we have love A. Keys over the past 12 years of her career. It still remains to be seen if this will be the title track of the album, but this will certainly have people talking for that highly anticipated return.
